We are pleased to present you with the sixth special edition newsletter focusing on gender-based violence (GBV) in the context of migration, prepared as part of the BRIDGE regional project.
The BRIDGE project is implemented under the lead of Terre des hommes Regional Office for Europe together with five partners from Belgium (Defence for Children International DCI-Belgium and FEDASIL), Greece (ARSIS), Malta (Kopin) and Romania (Tdh Romania), and has the overall objective to strengthen the statutory response to GBV affecting children and youth on the move in EU countries.
Since our last newsletter, we have been working hard towards this objective. In Malta a 3-part data collection has been completed and a number of activities have been implemented, including training for care professionals on GBV against children and youth on the move, the hosting of several closed case discussions, and awareness raising activities with children residing in the open centres.
To find out more, and get all the latest updates, you can join us for our awareness raising campaign and online event starting the 28th December – keep posted for more information on how you can take part.
In this edition, we have selected for you a number of interesting materials which should be of interest to anyone working with GBV survivors and children and youth on the move, particularly in these challenging times.
We would like to encourage you to enrol in our free online course on GBV to learn how to prevent GBV and protect children and youth on the move from GBV. The course has been developed as part of the BRIDGE project and is available in Dutch, English, French, Greek and Romanian.
