As 2020 reaches its end, we’d like to present the final, end-of-year, special edition newsletter focusing on gender-based violence (GBV) in the context of migration, prepared as part of the BRIDGE regional project.

The BRIDGE project is implemented under the lead of Terre des hommes Regional Office for Europe together with five partners from Belgium (Defence for Children International DCI-Belgium and FEDASIL), Greece (ARSIS), Malta (Kopin) and Romania (Tdh Romania), and has the overall objective to strengthen the statutory response to GBV affecting children and youth on the move in EU countries.

As the project draws to a close, keep an eye out for the awareness raising and educational materials available on our social media networks – Kopin Malta – from 4pm onwards today. You can also visit the project page here.

And don’t forget, you can join our online event at 1pm Wednesday 30th December, where we will show you how to access a  wealth of GBV resources that can help support you with your work; share our findings on the data collection that has taken place among care professionals and asylum-seeking youth here in Malta, and discuss how we can better support and advocate for migrant and refugee children & youth.

In the meantime, here are some child-friendly awareness-raising materials on GBV produced by our partners:
